We established a camera network between poles on a hill without power or internet signal. Using point-to-point Ubiquiti links, we connected the cameras Hikvision PTZ to the main station, where all signals were transmitted to the office in the town of Constitución, Maule – Chile. The antennas were powered by solar energy with Victron equipment, and the pole was our own creation.

Project Tasks

  • Networking

    We completed the entire network using Ubiquiti equipment, deploying both point-to-point and occasionally point-to-multipoint links.

  • Solar energy

    At each pole, we installed a solar panel, regulator, and battery, providing a consistent 24-volt output to power the Ubiquiti equipment. This setup eliminated the need for 220 volts, making the system more efficient. We work with Victron Energy.
